Review of Moana (2016) by Charlotte P — 21 Nov 2017
We loved how Moana is a kid friendly film, but still grabbed the attention of an adult. It was thoughtfully created, with a combination of realistic personalities and a mythical stance. Moana inspired us to follow our dreams, while Maui reminded us that any given material item and/or our past should not define who we are in the present.
When Maui took Te Fiti's heart and Te Ka arose, we were reminded that our actions can hurt not only ourselves, but others as well. We should do what is right, even if we are afraid. Keep in mind that you still have the chance of an awesome outcome, like when Maui got a new hook.
The animation brought to life a tale not like any other and made us feel as we've been called to the water ourselves. Let's not forget about the amazing soundtrack that reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200 in December 2016.
