Review of Moana (2016) by Isabelle S — 03 Feb 2017
Disney has finally crafted the perfect Disney princess film. Not only is the protagonist resourceful and witty, but she is perceived by her peers as capable of a hero's quest as well. With an almost entirely Polynesian cast, the representation of Polynesian culture is tasteful and a sight to behold in this stunning animated feature.
The lack of romantic subplot is also refreshing, as the story focuses on family, friendship, and selflessness.
