Review of Mitt (2014) by Manny C — 10 Feb 2014
This palpably compassionate, all-access documentary about former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney's failed 2012 presidential run manages to do the impossible: make Mitt Romney look like a human being, something the man himself could not do.
Mitt actually comes off as warm and likable. Unfortunately the film itself, from director Greg Whiteley, is more interested in rehabilitating his image rather than actually giving us any real revelations concerning his political doings.
Sure, we get the sad sight of Mitt coming to the realization that he's lost the presidential race, but what of his reaction to seeing the infamous '47 percent' video among other things? That would have been all access.
