Review of Mister Roberts (1955) by James B — 30 Jul 2007
Ordinarily I can't stand films that try to skirt the line between comedy and drama. This film has to rank as one of my all-time favorites. It has one of the greatest casts ever assembled in the main cast, and with Nick Adams and Martin Milner in supporting roles keeps the trend going.
All the actors have no problem with the heavy drama or the comedic elements. The directors managed to capture lightening in a bottle.
