Haunting score and gorgeous photogrsphy anchor this occassionally thrilling but mostly put-together sci-fi drama. Special effects astound, acting is above par for genre, but film never knows if it's an sci-fi actioner or philosophical drama.
Awkwardly pieced together, ending doesn't jive with logic of plot, but flick is still fun and manages to make a pointed message about our connectedness to each other.
