The Mission Impossible has come a long way from the days of pointless action and ludicrous plot to a new breed of spy that has its own ground...

This new MI dares to go bold, to go do thing where...well some has been done before but we miss it so much.

The new James Bond series with Daniel Craig has been about realism and fewer gadgets. But with MI you see all the amazing and cartoonish gadgets we once loved in James Bond.

The truth is that MI is basically now a mix of modern spy with the goofiness of the old ones. In fact, it's what SPECTRE wanted to be but couldn't. Although, a little more serious then it would be SPECTRE.

The new MI is unique to itself the action the dialogues the villain...oh the villain.

Truthfully I can't think of any other villain in MI history who has been this calculating, this intimidating and it's a shame that he has so many few scenes. But whenever he is there, he steals the show.

And let's not forget Rebecca Ferguson who is a tremendous addition and I love to see her again. True, she doesn't have much chemistry with Tom Cruise but in the movie it's never implied that they love each other or have feelings anyway. They just flirt. And that's fine. Kind of needed. Not every woman is for doing it.

The rest of the cast are kind of sidelined and only there as plot devices but nevertheless they do their jobs well. Especially Simon Pegg who is real heart of this series.

As for the conflict between CIA and MI, well I wanted that to have more depth and be more complex as the concerns were again raised and actually happened in this movie but well, it didn't and it's a missed opportunity.

Of course the main plot and theme is what it has been for five movies so far but, well we kinda expected it didn't we?

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation combines imaginary and lunatic action and creates amazing scenes even though there's no way Tom Cruise would survive that backflip in BMW or even walk away with no blood!!! But still, that's what I meant by being a mix of old and new.

True, Mission Impossible IS taking a lot of cues from new James Bond movies and it's obvious. Especially the Villain and...this one I had to say.... BMW that opens to fingerprint and someone else tries and fails??? That handgun in Skyfall? Anyone??

While it takes many cues from Skyfall and others I don't mind it that much because it helps them progress and it's fine.

If MI series' next movie uses another great villain that has some screen time or the same villain we saw here but in bigger capacity. And uses awesome action like it did with this movie...I think we may have another winner too.

Frankly, MI should remain goofy with a lot of action. No deep storytelling because well, never established anything that mysterious and then again...this is Mission Impossible...let's be crazy!

Overall, this movie achieves what Ghost Protocol did and created something that on some grounds falls short of Ghost Protocol and some grounds raises the bar.

While it raised the bar in Villain, threat, women and of course action.

If failed at keeping the attractive realism, stop rehashing stuff or "inspirations" and not using a great villain.

But still, the twists, the mystery the action made this Mission Impossible one to remember for a long time...until next one comes out anyway.

Great Job and Congrats to all who made this movie. You made a modern James Bond of the Old.

Impressed and hope next one will do the same.
