When you watch 'Mission: Impossible â" Rogue Nation' a couple days following its predecessor, Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol' it doesn't hold up, but as a stand alone feature it does what you expect and that makes it pretty darn good.
Rebecca Ferguson is the breakout star in this set piece to set piece thriller. Cruise has become James Bond. His athleticism is incredible. There are plenty of exciting sequences. A fine addition to the MI series.
