Review of Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015) by Frederic C. B — 26 Apr 2016
The Good:
Rebecca Ferguson's Ilsa Faust is truly a standout character in this sequel, stealing attention and outshining even Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt with her enigmatic persona. Would be awesome to see her back in the future. Simon Pegg's Benji Dunn is also one of the highlight of the movie, due to his hillarious quips.
The Not-so-Good:
Too bad that Paula Patton's Jane Carter is left out without any confirmation of her whereabouts too. She could have added more weight to the testosterone-filled team. The action sets is a bit underwhelming, considering many of the chops had been done in the previous titles. It takes too long for Jeremy Renner's William Brandt and Ving Rhames' Luther Stickell to get into action.
