Review of Mission: Impossible III (2006) by Matt G — 23 Jul 2015
M:I3 gets the franchise back on track. So many great set-pieces (bridge, airplane, Vatican) that have a clear awareness of being post 9/11. Maybe the best part is Hoffman, the terrifyingly passionless villain who manages to get under the skin of the normally cool Hunt.
After the abominable second MI movie, Abrams brings back the glorious fun, top-notch action, and actual spy movie elements that made the first such a blast.
