This is a sequel where the Mission: Impossible begins to find its footing and comes into it's own. Though the action is over-the-top, it's darkness is earned and it has the most memorable villain (the excellent Philip Seymour Hoffman) and threat to date (including Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation).
