Review of Mission: Impossible II (2000) by Chillindylan G — 01 Aug 2015
This was a bad movie. While the cinematography early on was very nice and there were a few good action sequences, the majority of the film was just horrible. From the erratic pacing to the superficial plot to the rushed "love" story (so 5 minutes after she tried to run him off the road they were hopelessly in love with each other?), this movie lacked just about everything that the first film had. Most of the action sequences were laughably bad - consisting primarily of pointless slow motion, Tom Cruise rolls and flips, cheezy one-liners, and every car imaginable exploding for no good reason. I had only seen this film once before (when it first came out), and if I had remembered it being this bad I wouldn't have bothered.
Grade = 2/10.
