Review of Mission: Impossible (1996) by Retromagfan . — 20 Dec 2014
Another classic 60's tv series gets the movie update. In this, the first of the series a spy sets out to clear his name after being accused of being a traitor.
This first film in the series is great and the story works really well but it's not without its flaws though as the story sometimes drags a bit and I thought it could have been better at parts.
The action was pretty good with Mr Cruise fantastic at one point of the film.
Music was brilliant too but then again that'd what you can expect from Danny Elfman,.
The acting's also great with Tom Cruise getting top thumbs up, it's only bits and pieces of the film that let's itself down.
Mission Impossible is a good but forgettable film with a tolerable story, great acting and some really good action. The story does drag a bit though but at least the series got better from here.
