Review of Mission Impossible (1971) by Lindsay W — 19 Oct 2012
It's a fun mindless spy flick and burns fast through its runtime. Oh, the days before TC went crazy. Surprising how quick the film has become dated in its spy gadgetry, however. And the opening catalyst, where the spy mission is to stop a thing from happening where both the who, when and where are all known is ridiculous.
What spy wouldn't realize that obviously you would plant fake data when you have all the details of when the theft will occur? Definitely campy action fun, and not really designed for close inspection.
