Review of Miss Sloane (2016) by Sam S — 17 Nov 2016
Saw this movie on a private screening yesterday. Very well made movie taking you into the world of K Street and all its nefarious machinations on the American public.
It's pretty much a one woman show with Jessica Chastain dominating most of the movie. Good supporting performances from Gugu Mbatha Raw and Mark Strong. Sam Waterston, John Lithgow and Alison Pill round up the performance in terms of cast.
I actually liked the ending but different people may feel differently.
Makes a very compelling case for major reforms in our democratic process and gives an insight into how the current system is tilted against the American voters in favor of money and shady manipulating weasels.
This country needs a informed and educated electorate which will question its politicians and hold them accountable and not be swayed by gimmicks and brain dead repetitive messaging to enforce false propaganda. And yes I am digressing now so I'll stop.
Good movie. Worth watching. Chastain shines as Miss Sloane.
