Review of Miss Sloane (2016) by Charlie H — 19 Jul 2017
Miss Sloane is thrilling and moves at an incredibly snappy pace, thanks to good writing. The film is as relentless as its leading character. Jessica Chastain plays Miss Sloane; her performance was mixed for me.
She was the woman in charge one scene, struggling to find her feet the next. Sloane as a character epitomised the typical political mogul in DC. The film gave an admirable flavour of the corruption behind US politics.
Miss Sloane's plot twists & turns, and doesn't let the audience breathe. It's rather frenetic, but it captured my interest and investment. Miss Sloane's production is exemplary for all aspiring directors.
Balanced the light of political triumph with dark of underhanded deals. The biggest complaint I have with Miss Sloane is the degree to which audience members unfamiliar with US politics would be able to enjoy it.
If you're interested in american politics, Miss Sloane is definitely worth your time - I enjoyed it immensely.
