A remake of the movie 'Rain' from 1932 originally starring Joan Crawford. The plot is all about the message which is a good one to be told. I found this version easier to watch. It is spiced up with a great performance by the lovely Rita.
She plays a sultry club singer who has no qualms with being stranded on an island of sailors in between trying to make it anew elsewhere, until a bible-thumper starts telling her she is an evil sinner and doesn't realize his own sins.
