Review of Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (2008) by Kate C — 14 Dec 2008
I LOVE this movie! It reminds me of Mrs. Arris Goes to Paris, but with more of a hedonistic edge. I love the commonalities between the lives of an aspiring actress and the downtrodden Miss Pettigrew. I love that even though they are so different, they bond on that deeper and vastly more intimate level.
Although bittersweet, it is fitting that it only lasted a day. That kind of bond isn't necessarily sustainable and it is much more touching in its liminality.
