Review of Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (2008) by Jon C — 07 Mar 2018
Really good actors but way too much talking.
Certainly a brilliant showcase for amy adams and frances mcdormand.
Miss Pettigrew needs a job and a chance to actually live so she takes a social secretary position to make some fast cash yet she walks into a socialite's life not the way she envisioned it.
Her client is living in the life of luxury but is facing a dilemma seeing 3 men; she's having a hard time choosing the right one whether it's for love, a part in a movie or just for fun.
Miss Pettigrew helps her to not waste a second choosing more than one path for potential happiness, she even finds her own.
If there had been less discussions taking up the runtime I might have enjoyed this a bit more but the actors are good with some average material.
