It's been a long time since Tim Burton made an excellent film, and unfortunately that trend continues. However, his latest still has visual moments of wonder and style. There is an intriguong plot in place, along with some touching themes, but the lack of narrative drive and fantastical use of its characters and set-pieces seem to have been underdeveloped.
