As a huge fan of the books, this movie left me thoroughly disappointed. As soon as I watched the trailer I knew that this was not going to compare to the books in any way however, the movie went above and beyond my horrible expectations.

The peculiars had barely any part in the movie with no character development on their part and many were stripped of their original peculiarities which resulted in a less than interesting story. Sometimes, it is better to trust that the author knows what he is doing and to stick to what they wrote!
