This movie was so far from the book it can't even be called a book-to-movie adaptation. They changed parts of the story line, key events, and even change around characters and their peculiarities. They took the simplistic wonder of the book and made it into a visual circus.

They missed key and even small details and it totally ruined the experience of seeing one of my favorite books on screen. I knew I was going to be slightly disappointed when the movie came out because not all adaptations can be perfect, but this movie was just poorly translated and it makes me sad that it ended up this way.

All I have to ask is, did they even read the book before they wrote the script?
