Review of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) by Jerome K — 13 Feb 2017
Basically a British version of X-Men with younger characters and British sensibilities. The plot and action are serviceable, and the characters are unique enough to be memorable. While it has some of Tim Burton's dark style, I felt like it was missing the unpredictability and charm that we've gotten from his signature films.
