Review of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) by Jonathan Kendra L — 06 Jan 2017

I am amazed this movie is rated PG. I figured this movie was a magical film with a couple of frightening scenes such as the first Harry Potter, Malificient, or Cinderella...not even close. It's a light horror movie disguised as a children's film.

Unfortunately the official trailer for this movie displays it as adventurous, magical with a few weird characters, however when you watch it be prepared for disturbing and many frightening scenes every 5 minutes or so.

When I was growing up back in the 1970 this movie would have been rated R not PG.
