I caught this biographical movie on television by chance and was mesmerized by it. It is a very memorable film. It has a disturbing climax, but if that weren't how this author ended his life this film would probably not have been made.
The ending is well foreshadowed so I really didn't give anything away. The journey is what this film is about and the journey is mesmerizing.
