Powerful performances made this film as much of an experience as the book was.
Cathy Bates truly deserved as many Oscars as it is possible to recieve for one performance.
Her Annie Wilkes could scare the crap out of John Cena.
James Caan had a strong presence, although I couldn't help but wait for his Paul Sheldon to give up the fight and retire to Bates' nursing.
Rob Reiner captures this psychological novels' spine and doesn't let go throughout the journey, which is almost as harrowing for the viewer as for Sheldon (well, not quite).
About as good as a thriller can get.
