Review of Misconduct (2016) by Richard S — 28 Dec 2018
A lawyer trying to make a name for himself takes on big baddie pharmaceutical boss Anthony Hopkins who willingly released drugs which he knew would do more harm than good. Mr lawyer gains crucial information for his case from his slightly deranged ex girlfriend who is now dating Anthony Hopkins.
In comes Al Pacino as Mr Lawyer's boss who happens to have his own personal vendetta against Hopkins and so a big power play begins between the two heavy weights. There is also an assassin on a motorbike and Alice Eve who are thrown into the mix somehow.
There is a decent story hidden somewhere in this messy film but it's sadly lost due to poor plot development and bad acting. Hopkins looks bored for most of the film, Al Pacino is doing ok until the final act and then completely loses it, obviously eager to catch the last bus home, I have no idea what was going on with the assassin and Alice Eve seemed to be channeling one of her characters from Iron Fist.
It was bizarre and quite a mess.
