Review of Miracle on 34th Street (1994) by Christopher B — 16 Dec 2015
The remake of Miracle on 34th Street was on first which I wanted to see the original, but I'll have to wait a bit on it, which that would be my next review. As is, I do like this movie, but I do have a feeling that it'll be not as good as the original.
I like the actors in it, which Richard Attenborough is the perfect actor to play Santa Claus in that time period which I'm glad that he's even in this because he saves this film a bit. Mara Wilson is fine, but she made me feel a bit annoyed with the way that she say such big words that are not the right age for her to say, which I'm glad that they addressed that a bit.
The writing by John Hughes is fine, but the way it was executed made me felt a bit frustrated about where it was going, except when Santa shows up which gets me interested. The court scenes are a bit funny to watch and entertaining too.
The movie sort of makes Santa the main focus which I'm fine with, and I didn't really care that much about the family's problems. The remake has enough good and sweet moments that I actually think that it's a good movie, I just feel like it's not the best remake.
