Review of Miracle at St. Anna (2008) by Ryan H — 05 Mar 2009
It started off with so much promise, but quickly became much to convoluted, with too much time spent on pointless subplots (the Italian villagers & the really stupid love triangle) than on the core story.
It does redeem itself by the end, and the massacre scene was deeply disturbing and powerful, as well as the scene in the diner. It still gets a high rating because of the acting and main story line, but it could've been a lot better if had remained focused on the Buffalo Soldiers.
