Review of Miracle at St. Anna (2008) by Anders H — 15 Apr 2009
Phenomenal film about risk, loyalty, honour, purity and love in the context of the shattering reality of life and death. Not for everyone, but all who love the puzzles of historical tragedy and triumph will know it when they see it.
Brilliant performances, stunning action and magical photography, draped in a rich tapestry of sound, sight and sorrow. Be patient, and think of absent companions.
