Review of Miracle at St. Anna (2008) by Nathan T — 09 May 2013
Ultimately, I like it. Mostly because of the complexity and combined perspectives of the war. Italian, German, and American. But there is even more depth... Young and Old. Black and White. Love and War.
Myths. Drama. Betrayal. Senseless tragedy. Mystery. But it is this volume of topics which makes it difficult to follow... And at times it seems to wander. Not so sure it was tied together as good as it could have been.
.. But that also could have been a point. The ending... though well intended seems a bit cheesy and cliche.
