Review of Miracle at St. Anna (2008) by Dimitris L — 21 Jun 2009
Director Spike Lee is undoubtedly talented. There are some magnificent sequences in this World War II film however the meandering story is the work's biggest weakness. The story tries to bite off a little to much.
..wandering from sequences of war action, to themes of racism/prejudice, to spiritually reflective dialogue. The spirituality of the movie, I found, very interesting. This movie contains some powerful moments.
