Review of Miracle at St. Anna (2008) by Peter P — 02 Dec 2010
Surprisingly one of Spike Lee's best efforts. Lee has created a decent believable war movie from a black perspective and given it a good side story along the way about the mystery of the relic. All the main group of soldiers do a good job, in particular The Chocolate Giant, speaking of which, the kid in this is terrific.
It does lose half a star for the needless nudity, which just seemed out of place in a movie of this kind.
