The minions are a delight in the Despicable Me movies, but there's only so much of them one can handle. They make much better secondary characters rather than being the stars of their own movie. There were some really silly, fun gags here and there, but it just got to be too much after a while.
It definitely feels like it's more geared towards kids than the whole family like the other movies in the franchise.
