Review of Minions (2015) by Jean B — 23 Nov 2017

The Minions are a race of sentient yellow blobs who predate the human race and speak in a dialect that mixes English, Spanish, and utter babble. They are predisposed to serve the baddest person around and are therefore drawn to an insecure supervillain (Sandra Bullock) who exploits them in a bid to steal the British crown.

Minions has two or three humorous gags, but they were all in the trailer and they're not nearly good enough to make up for the drab, dull, and inconsistent qualities found in the rest of the movie.

Minions' impressive box office demonstrated that kids really like these characters, but I'm pretty confident that more than a few of the parents who saw this movie with them were as bored as I was.
