Review of Mimic 2 (2001) by Niall D — 10 May 2012
I quite happily sat through it without any issues when I initially watched this, and it's only afterwards that I'm thinking about it wondering 'What the hell have I just watched'? Having viewed many pointless horrors in my time, I guess this was just another drop in the ocean for me, but for others, a giant flea that grows more human with every being it destroys is probably just a tad weird! Thankfully, a lot of the attacks were performed leaving a lot to the imagination as otherwise it may have gone beyond a joke if they tried to even attempt make this look realistic.
Graphically, It was a little easier to focus more on the beast towards the end though, as it took a more human form for its marginally credible conclusion. Overall, this was neither here nor there for me really and you can take it or leave it.
It is quite easily watchable for an evenings viewing, but just like the first installment, a few weeks down the line and I won't remember what happened........ and that's probably not a good enough reason to make me want to watch it again!
