Review of Millions (2005) by Melody S — 04 Sep 2007
Quintessentially British, recalling earthy classics like Whistle Down the Wind as well as child fantasies like Paperhouse or Lawn Dogs. A beautiful experience that has much to say about childhood and the state of the world.
Plenty others have said it, but it bears repeating, this is the definition of a gem, and possibly Boyle's best work to date.
