Review of Millions (2005) by Abigail D — 29 Mar 2008
Damian wants to be good and to help the poor. He is also fascinated by the lives of saints. When money literally falls from the sky, he gets his chance to help others (and the saints, who sometimes appear to him, give him advice and aid in his endeavors). But his brother (and eventually father and father's girlfriend) has other ideas for what to do with the money--as does someone much more sinister.
Damian *is* a good boy, but not "too good to be true." And the saints, who generally seem to be part of Damian's imagination, perhaps aren't so very imaginary after all. A very British film, but in a good way.
