Review of Millions (2005) by Zane T — 09 Feb 2009
After making movies about a rage virus, herion addicts and murder, Danny Boyle makes a family movie. While the movie does have some flaws at times, it's a nice little movie. Imagine Shallow Grave without all the blood, dismemberments and murder and a somewhat happy but Speilbergian ending.
I'm not really sure what the overall message is. It's kinda hard to rationalize exchanging stolen pounds for euros even if it is kept out of the bad guy's hands. I also think the movie's underlying message is that money can change people.
It's worth watching but it seems more of a fantasy movie.
