Review of Million Dollar Arm (2014) by Victor T — 15 May 2014
Any combination of Hollywood and bollywood is OK by me. Add in Cricket and Baseball, two of my favorite sports; I am in. The movie id formulaic, rambling and a shaggy dog. Just like what I expected. People complaining that this movie does not have a twists should remember that this WAS based on a true story. So you can 'fictionalize' it only so much before you have people complaining that the movie makers too too much liberty!
So all in all, a typical Bollywood movie in a Hollywood garb. If you know Cricket, you will like it better. Also, the cultural clash in India was shown better than the other way around. It would have been nice if they showed more of what the Kids from India felt and saw when they first came to US.
