Review of Miller's Crossing (1990) by Derek S — 23 Aug 2011
Millers Crossing could easily be considered the Coen brother's best work. It's their one and only gangster flick, set back in the prohibition era 1920's. It's filled with excellent acting, robust plot twists, and some absolutely amazing, fast paced storytelling, written very intelligently.
The scenery constantly blows me away, it's just absolutely beautiful, and sets the mood perfectly. If you love the Coen's, you will most definitely be enthralled by this piece of work.
