Review of Miller's Crossing (1990) by Rich C — 14 Sep 2011
Another early Coens film, another 5 star rating. Easily one of the most underrated films of all time, Miller's Crossing is often forgotten because it's unique sensibilities make it hard to classify.
Even labeling it a "noir" isn't accurate because nothing the Coens do can be pigeonholed. The movie occupies a world of it's own and the ways in which the characters all use and manipulate each other is the most interesting aspect of the film.
SEE IT.
