Review of Miller's Crossing (1990) by Jonny C — 21 Jan 2012
Very good gangster movie from the Coen Brothers. The Coen's third collaboration is about an Irish gangster who falls out with his boss over his mistress and then gets mixed up in a mob war involving multiple gangs that he must manipulate in order to survive.
Miller's Crossing is beautifully shot. Each scene is enthralling and well-written, the acting is second to none with Byrne and Finney never being better, plus the stunning musical score compliments everything I've just mentioned.
Highly Recommended.
