Dad and I are working this Easter Triduum and this movie was a welcome break. I was intending to watch Howl's Moving Castle or Tokyo Godfathers first, but I ended up watching this.

I've been posting away again, but I was just copy/pasting old files. I'm really writing this one tonight.

Whew!

I journeyed with Chiyoko in every step of the way. Even if this is indeed an animated feature, the story is very, very real.

Every scene depicted could have happened. Yes, this is a work of fiction, but certain events were true. You can check for yourself.

There is a reason why this won the Grand Prize in the Japan Agency Cultural Affiars Media Arts Festival. The scenes are hauntingly realistic!

My friend, Kristen, really knows the stuff she recommends.

Call me melodramatic, but I even cried during certain scenes. I "oohed and aahed" even through the flashbacks..

Wow. I'm really, really getting hooked.
