Satoshi Kon is one of those filmmakers that both delight and frustrate me in turn, as he has really good ideas but somehow falls short of puling them off well. Millennium Actress has beautiful cinematography, with the main character's lives being played out like a movie, but there isn't much that is inspiring, except the ending climax.
