Review of Milk? (2012) by Aaron A — 15 Dec 2010
My name is Harvey Milk and I'm here to recruit you!
The dramatic retelling of how the first homosexual earned a powerful position in government office.
What I love about Milk is that it doesn't try to cater to the masses, there is a lot of guys kissing other guys in this film, there naked men slapping the butts of other naked men, yet its never as distasteful as it sounds partially due to the fact that Milk is very political, and has a lot to say about life in general. The other part is the acting, oh the acting.
The entire cast, which consists of Josh Brolin and James franco, does a wonderful job with their respected roles. Add in the stellar art and costume design, and a fantastic script, this is in some ways a better film than Brokeback Mountain.
