Review of Milk? (2012) by Patrick W — 15 Jun 2012
Everything about this film is phenomenal. The depth to which the audience comes to know many of the characters stirs up all sorts of emotions, thanks in part to excellent writing and top-rate performances all around.
The biggest success of this film, however, is that it publicizes the little-known story of heroic Harvey Milk; a story not taught in classrooms likely due to preconceived notions expressed in this film that still exist today.
This is a compelling story of unity, courage, and leadership; a "Gay & Lesbian" film with universal appeal.
