Worthy of the hype and accolades from the Academy.
I don't usually notice the "small things" but the direction of Gus Van Sant in this film was great. Just the right mix of what I believe was older/archive footage coupled with outstanding performances from his cast.
Sean Penn, Josh Brolin & Emile Hirsch - all deliver outstanding performances. Penn very much deserved the recognition he received for this role.
There isn't much else I can say - 'Milk' is an interesting and informative movie. We should have watched this one a while back but it never came to be. I would strongly recommend it!
