Superb and important film that doesn't need to shove it's various points down your throat, thanks mainly, to Penn's superb performance, an exquisite supporting cast - all at the top of their game - and Gus Van Sant's beautiful, soft, sympathetic direction.
This is the next in a long line of Gus Van Sant masterpieces that are not to be missed.
