Review of Milk (2008) by Paul B — 21 Jun 2013
This film is beautiful and elegant in its simplicity, authentic and sincere in its treatment, and with a constant blending of acted and documentary footage, it never loses its sense of vibrancy and reality, whilst still generating a cast of characters that involve and capture you.
It is a story that is not focussed on anger, outrage or the discrimination persecuted against a group, but a film that celebrates and rejoices, a film (appropriately) filled with positivity and hope, rather dwelling upon sadness and tragedy.
