Review of Mildred Pierce (1945) by Adam C — 31 Aug 2008
A smooth mix of film noir and hyper melodrama. I honestly liked the first twenty minuets more then the rest of the film as it had the mood of a perfect film nor. Still the rest of the film is really fun.
It is so campy and yet involving that I enjoyed myself. Crawford is a powerhouse here and Michael Curtiz does great work as director. The film also has some gorgious cinematography to rival others of the era.
